Adinkra

Aso oke is a traditional woven fabric that is popular amongst the Yorubas in Nigeria. Aṣọ òkè means ‘top cloth’ i.e cloth of high esteem and prestige.

The Gye Nyame symbol on the other hand is an adinkra symbol that originated from Ghana which means “except for God,” it symbolizes God’s omnipotence through the knowledge that people should not fear anything except for God.
